What We Stand For
Advocacy
Fiercely representing your interests in contract negotiations and pivotal district decisions.
Community
Forging lasting, powerful connections among colleagues across both of our campuses.
Development
Unlocking access to vital grants, workshops, and continuous professional growth.
Excellence
Championing the highest standards in community college education and student success.
The Chabot-Las Positas Community College Faculty Association (CLPFA) represents more than 400 faculty members across two campuses. We are dedicated to advocating for fair working conditions, professional development opportunities, and educational excellence for our students.
Since our founding over 50 years ago, we have been the collective voice of faculty in contract negotiations, policy discussions, and campus governance. Our mission is to support our members while promoting the highest standards of teaching and learning.
Whether you are a full-time professor or a part-time instructor, CLPFA is here to represent you.
Structure
How the Association Works
The Chabot-Las Positas Faculty Association is the collective voice of faculty at both colleges that advocates for fair working conditions, strong contracts, and the professional growth of more than 400 members.
The FA is run by faculty, for faculty. An Executive Board — officers and campus representatives — leads the association between general membership meetings, supported by committees that handle bargaining, grievances, and member services. Every member has a vote in association elections and in ratifying each contract.
